David Barker
David Barker held various Managerial positions in Nat West Bank over a 30year career culminating in a position as Head of Corporate Banking for Worcestershire. Most of his career involved the interface with businesses of all sizes.
In 2000 David joined Nicklins to bring his vast experience, for the benefit of existing and new clients. His day to day activities include sourcing Commercial Mortgages and Factoring/Invoice Discounting and he does liaise with our Residential Mortgage team (where deposits are raised on residential property) and Simon Hornsey our IFA in respect of life cover and pension/investment enquiries. In addition David has contacts for asset finance (plant,vehicle purchase etc) and credit insurance, as well as experts in other finance areas.
Commercial finance is sourced from the whole market which includes both Banks and Building Societies and so he is truly 'independent'. Amounts ranging from £40,000 to £3,000,000 have been sourced and interest savings negotiated of up to £200,000 over the term of the loan (compared with initial offer obtained by the client).
