Position within firm – Director
What do you do?
I take full responsibility for all of the advice and services that we provide to our clients whether that be regular tax and accounting services or complex auditing and tax planning. I am a Chartered Accountant and Registered Auditor and I have worked in large independent accounting practices since 1983 so there is not much that happens in the world of owner managed businesses that I have not seen before. I am also an owner of the business and I am actively involved in the strategic operations and day to day activities of the business.
What do you enjoy most about your job/ what motivates you to get up in the morning?
We work with a diverse mix of good quality clients and it is the variety of business challenges that makes the job enjoyable. We also have an excellent team at Nicklin’s who I enjoy working with, so it is the combination of working with good clients and great team members that keeps me motivated.
What projects do you work on?
I work on many varied projects which include complex audit, accounting and business tax services. My main role is to lead relationships with clients contacts and team members and so the projects that I work on will be driven by the needs of the clients.
What is on top of your bucket list?
I have seen Paul McCartney live once in Birmingham but if I could see him again live in the US I would be a very happy person.
