Charity of the year: The Black Country Food Bank

As part of our ongoing commitment to support our Charity of the year The Black Country Food Bank, Nicklins have planned a year-long schedule of fundraising activities, volunteering initiatives and events. Staff recently visited the Food Bank’s warehouse in Brierley Hill to help date and pack food to be distributed.

Started in June 2006, the charity was set up to feed local people experiencing real hardship by meeting their most basic need for food.

Partner at Nicklin LLP, Mark Howell said, “As a business we understand the importance of raising awareness and helping local charities, we also recognise the pressure local communities are facing with the cost of living leading to increased need and rising costs for food banks. With the demand for donations growing we are committed to support our local community.”

Ruth from the Black Country Food Bank commented, “We are so grateful that Nicklins have chosen BCFB as their Charity of the Year. This is a great honour and we are looking forward to working together throughout 2023. Support from corporate partners is so valuable to us as it not only helps our charity through fundraising and support but it builds community and partnership. We are pleased that we will be able to continue with our services, helping those in need, with the support of a local business. Thank you Nicklins!”
