Two managers at Halesowen-based chartered accountancy firm Nicklin LLP are celebrating after clocking up 25 years with the practice.
Tax manager Laurina Scott joined the firm in 1988, having spent six years working as a tax officer for what was then the Inland Revenue, now HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). She specialises in dealing with self-assessment for individuals, as well as dealing with any queries from HMRC.
Meanwhile, IT manager Debbie Lawson is also celebrating her silver anniversary with the firm. Debbie was originally with Rubery-based Lowe McTernan, which merged with Nicklin in July 2012. Her role requires her to ensure that all IT systems are kept up to date, as well as helping with office administration, internal accounts and the payroll department.
Nicklin tax partner Peter Kendrick said: “Laurina is highly experienced and is extremely caring and protective towards her clients, always looking out for their best interests.
“I would like to congratulate Laurina on achieving 25 years with Nicklin. She has been a real asset to us and I am delighted that she has chosen to progress her career with us over that time, building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
“I would also like to congratulate Debbie on clocking up 25 years’ service. Since she joined Nicklin as part of our merger with Lowe McTernan, she has been instrumental in ensuring that everything runs smoothly where IT is concerned.”
