Staff at Halesowen-based chartered accountancy firm Nicklin LLP have got into the Christmas spirit by donating toys to an appeal aimed at less fortunate children.
The firm is supporting the Hope Santa Appeal, run by Dudley Council for Voluntary Services and Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, which is looking for donations of new and used toys, books, games and gifts to send out to youngsters from less privileged backgrounds who would otherwise go without Christmas presents.
All members of staff were asked to donate to the appeal, while the partners also donated £250 to be used to buy a variety of new toys to add to those collected.
Managing partner Harvey Owen said: “We have had a fantastic response from everyone at Nicklin and, through their kind generosity, we have donated a brilliant number of gifts to this year’s appeal.
“As a firm, we remain committed to doing our bit to support our local community. Receiving Christmas presents is something that many of us take for granted, but unfortunately there are still many families who will not be able to afford presents for their children, so we hope our donation will help put smiles on the faces of children who otherwise wouldn’t receive anything.
“I would like to thank everyone at Nicklin who donated for their generosity, as well as Steve Clark of Clark’s Archive Services, who kindly gave us the use of his vans and driver to help pack and deliver all the toys to the appeal headquarters in Brierley Hill.”
