Position within firm – Accounts Associate
What do you do?
I prepare financial statements and offer bookkeeping services for a range of clients mainly within the medical sector. I assist with the preparation of NHS superannuation certificates and support clients with queries that they may have.
What do you enjoy most about your job/ what motivates you to get up in the morning?
I love a challenge, being able to solve a problem and helping a client or my colleagues to reach a solution. We have a brilliant range of clients and colleagues who are all very lovely to work with.
Making a better life for myself and my family is what motivates me to get up in a morning (and a strong coffee!).
What projects do you work on?
I have completed training with AAT, gained my MAAT status and became a qualified accountant. I am now focusing on my pathway to become chartered with ICAEW.
I have assisted clients with various issues relating to their bookkeeping software, prepared accounts within tight deadlines and used to statistics to help advise clients.
What is on top of your bucket list?
I would love to be able to dive with a whale shark in the ocean, which would be absolutely insane, they are the biggest fish in the sea alongside being absolutely gorgeous, and to swim next to one would be amazing.
I also would love to volunteer at a conservation site for turtles, to be able to help with this would be extremely rewarding but also means I’m able to contribute in helping wildlife.
