Harvey Owen FCA
Harvey looks after a portfolio of clients in all aspects of accounting and taxation work and in many cases beyond. Harvey studied at King Edward’s Grammar School, Stourbridge, Harvey was articled with Nicklin & Co ( as it was formally Known ), qualified as a Chartered Accountant at 21 and moved to one of the original big eight accountancy firms, Coopers & Lybrand. Harvey then became group accountant for a small group in West Bromwich and High Wycombe and then moved again to a small local firm of accountants, before returning back to Nicklins and becoming partner in 1980
Amongst other things Harvey is often asked for his opinion on unusual accountancy circumstances by his partners, staff and clients alike, as well as being involved in tax planning, the use of tax strategies and business restructuring. Along with partner, Chris Steele he is now developing the private client element of Nicklin LLP with IHT planning, Will writing and Probate work at the fore.
In 2010 Harvey was awarded Managing Partner of the Year by the 2020 Group, a position he has held for over 20 years at Nicklin LLP, although he has recently relinquished this role.
