What do you do?
I help clients keep their tax affairs up to date by completing their returns and assisting with other queries.
What do you enjoy most about your job/ what motivates you to get up in the morning?
I enjoy meeting clients and explaining their tax situation in an easy to understand manner. I also enjoy that my job allows me to utilise my strength of being extremely organised.
The thing that motivates me to get up is breakfast – I’m always hungry!
What projects do you work on?
I’ve been involved in helping clients understand the basis period reform and how moving to a tax year basis will affect them. I’ve also spent a lot of time deciphering the rules relating to the pension annual allowance charge.
Outside of work, I volunteer with a group for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. Together with the other volunteers we run a weekly social group and whilst each week brings different challenges, it is also extremely rewarding.
What is on top of your bucket list?
I would love to do a sky dive. I imagine the feeling of free falling through the air is exhilarating!
