If your family and your assets are important to you, you must make a Will.
Without a Will, your assets may be frozen whilst the government appoints executors, usually a bank or solicitor that you do not know, placing additional emotional stress on your family.
If you are not married, your partner or step-children will have no claim on your estate if you do not have a Will, resulting in the beneficiaries of your estate not being the people you would have chosen. Furthermore, you will pay more tax than is necessary.
At Nicklin, we can advise you on the preparation of, or amendments to, your Will and minimise your inheritance tax liabilities.
